Transition Takeaway sold out

Over the last few weeks Transition Town West Kirby sold out their Takeaway Vegetable garden. The packs, costing only 30p, contained seed potatoes, onion sets and broad bean seeds with full planting instructions.

At a Transition Town exhibition at Thurstaston Country Park on Sunday 26th April, children looked at vegetables bought from a local supermarket. - onions from Peru, beans from Kenya and potaoes from Israel. Many of them wanted to buy the Transition Takeaway to have a go at growing their own in pots or in a corner of their garden.
