Welcome to the latest update from TTWK. Loads to report on below so pay attention!
Local and regional strategy consultations
TTWK has been very busy over the past month responding to consultations on the future of both Wirral and the wider region.
We participated in a region-wide Transition response to the North West Development Agency’s strategy report. We also responded to Wirral Council's consultation on its core strategy.
Both reports are, we think, pretty groundbreaking and well worth a few minutes of your time. They can be accessed via our website (scroll down the page).
Also, Merseyside Transport Partnership is consulting on its plan for the next 20 years which is due to be in place by April 2011 (LTP3). You can give your views via the online consultation or contact us if you would like to be involved in putting together TTWK's response. The closing date is Monday 12th April 2010.
Songs on Toast?
TTWK and Crass Roots have organised a community event to put a spring in your step. Join us for Songs on Toast featuring Jimmy Rae and Adam and Dave of Loose Moose fame.
The event is on Monday March 22nd 5.30-8pm at Toast Café in West Kirby station. Get the full details here.
Honouring the Elders update
We now have a team of 5 working on this funded project which aims to link local history with global issues and increasing resilience. The coming months will see a booklet and a brief film prepared in conjunction with pupil;s from Hilbre High School.
