Wirral Allotments, progress report

TTWK wants to see a big increase in allotment provision and although there are long waiting lists currently we are encouraging people to apply for an allotment. There has been an upsurge in activity on allotments of late:- Waiting lists in Wirral have increased from 358 to 528 individuals since the 1st of Feb 2008. - The Council's Allotment Development Officer post has been advertised and interviews are happening in the middle of September. - Council Officers are preparing a bid for a rolling programme of capital funding for allotments, of £100,000 each year for the next 3 years.
