TTWK update

A brief update below with more details on this Sunday’s Food Fair, news of an upcoming energy event and a local project film screening “Honouring our Elders”.

3rd Hoylake Local Food Fair

Hoylake Local Food Fair this Sunday is shaping up into a great event but we still need more helpers on the day. Remember, these events are run by the community for the community so if you can spare half an hour to help out, please visit this link and let us know.

For more details about this Sunday’s event please click here.

Honouring our elders film screening

We are pleased to be launching the first stage in this project with the Friends of Grange Park, involving local youngsters and elderly residents.

The film screening launch event will be on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7.30pm at the media studio, Hilbre High School. We hope to hear a little about the Grange Park area and learn from those who can remember life before the age of cheap oil. The project seeks to inspire us to examine our life styles, tread more lightly upon the earth and be more community spirited.

Do come along and bring friends, young and old.

Energy seminar, November 22nd

TTWK is holding a seminar next month entitled “Energy efficiency and renewable energy in your home - what works and how to pay for it”. This promises to be a great event for anyone interested in cutting their fuel bills and reducing their exposure to rising energy prices.

More details nearer the date but please mark your diaries for the evening of Tuesday, November 22nd.

Did you miss our last film screening?

If you missed our screening of the excellent documentary Gasland about the shale gas industry in the USA but would like to see it, the DVD is available. Just respond to this email or ring 632 5366.

And finally...

Our friends at CRed Wirral have details of free cycle training and maintenance sessions. For all the details, please click here.
